Welcome to the XRMS CRM Project Home Page

XRMS is a web-based application for managing business entities such as employees, customers, contacts, activities with those contacts, etc.

XRMS generally falls into the category of application known as Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Sales Force Automation (SFA), with aspects of Business Intelligence (BI).  Basically, if your company needs to manage relationships with your customers and business partners, XRMS should be able to fulfill your needs.

We believe that XRMS is the most advanced open source CRM application written in PHP.  We hope that you will find it useful.

XRMS is a community-driven and supported development effort.  Companies that are using XRMS contribute money and developer time to improve the system.

XRMS CRM v1.99.2 (2.0rc3) 2006-07-25 Released

The XRMS CRM team is proud to annouce v1.99.2. XRMS CRM is the most advanced open source customer relationship management (CRM), Sales Force Automation (SFA) suite, and the most popular open source CRM written in PHP. XRMS also features business intelligence (BI) tools, RSS feeds for new records, advanced Workflow, Computer Telephony Integration (CTI), and an advanced plugin architecture.

This version makes a number of enhancements and bug fixes over version 1.99.1.

We have added extra 'Saved Views' capabilities to all of the data pagers in XRMS, allowing system and user level saved views to save sort, columns, and search criteria on pagers. The speed of execution of Activities, Opportunities, Cases, and Workflow has been improved by the implementation of standardized API functions, which are more efficient than the old non-API code in most cases. The continuing API work should result in more stable and predictable code for developers integrating to XRMS. A number of XRMS's dedicated translators have helped us find unlocalized strings and get those resolved in current code. Many of XRMS's translations have been reviewed and updated by their translation teams since the last release. A small bug in the ACL 'Manage role Permissions in Grid' interface has been fixed that should make ACL administration easier. The Administrator Guide ACL documentation has also been extensively updated based on user feedback.

XRMS CRM v1.99.1 (v2.0rc2) 2006-04-26 Released

The XRMS CRM team is proud to annouce v1.99.1. XRMS CRM is the most advanced open source customer relationship management (CRM), Sales Force Automation (SFA) suite. XRMS also features business intelligence (BI) tools, RSS feeds for new records, advanced Wrokflow, Computer Telephony Integration (CTI), and an advanced plugin architecture.

This version makes a number of minor enhancements and bug fixes over version 1.99.0.

One fairly narrow bug bug has been corrected in v1.99.0 in the Contacts API layer could have resulted in overwriting an existing contact with new data in a limited set of circumstances. v1.99.1 also implements full new and edit support for the centralized API functions in Contacts, Companies, and Addresses.
A number of XRMS's dedicated translators have helped us find unlocalized strings and get those resolved in current code.
We have also made a number of user interface usability improvements in Companies and Contacts. The speed of execution of Companies and Contacts has been improved by the implementation of the API functions, which are more efficient than the old
non-API code in most cases.

We recommend that all installations of XRMS upgrade to v1.99.1.

Version 1.99.0 (v2.0rc1) 2006-04-11 Released

This release fixes over 200 bugs, and adds many many enhancements.

We have added significant improvements to the Workflow system, usability across XRMS, related activity tracking, and the CSS themes.  This version also introduces the User Preference system, starting with preferences for Language and Theme. RSS feeds for new companies, contacts, and activites have been added. Many new plugins have been contributed by companies using XRMS.

The list goes on and on.

We recommend that if more than a few days has passed since the date on a stable release tarball that you consider downloading and installing a development snapshot instead.  These are normally quite stable, as the development team is probably using that code in production at their respective companies.
